The Department of Tamil at C.M. Annamalai Arts & Science College for Women is dedicated to imparting in-depth knowledge of the Tamil language, literature, and culture. The department fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and creativity among students while emphasizing linguistic competence and academic excellence.

With a research-driven approach, the department encourages students to explore Tamil Ilakkanam (Grammar) and Ilakkiyam (Literature).
